History of Dummonia
The planet of Dummonia was formed 3.7 Billion years ago. It was originally a planet and a moon, but an asteroid collided with the moon knocking it straight into the planet, wiping out any life. The planet and it's moon merged, and life began again, now with resources from both rocks on the same surface. Nothing is known about the planet and it's moon before hand, but this is just a theory.
In the beginning, the planet was ruled by giant walking reptiles. No not dinosaurs, but dragons. Dragons happily munched on whatever small mammals they could get ahold of, and warred over each other within small gatherings. The planet was blissful and peaceful for about 74 million years until the surface of man........... and women.
Man has lived for about 20,000 years on this planet, and has learned to cope with sharing the world with the dragons. Many dragons have been domesticated, but still others fight to maintain their power over Dummonia. Thanks to the time that dragons have evolved, we have several different species varying from your normal garden variety.
The main rock that is actually what is believed to be the surface of the moon that had impacted, split into four continents. Because of the strange blends of minerals and chemichals, the planet's four continents, are each different in climate and build. Albionionia is covered entirely in ice. Cotovatre is an island within an island. Burrok is completely barren rock with volcanoes at the surface, and Florete is the biggest island covered in swampy grass and forests. It is believed that there are many other continents on the planet, but no more have been discovered, because the primitive reasoning of civilisation believes that the planet is flat, and fears falling over the edge.
Civilisation is built up of many races including those that differ completely from humans. Most live in towns in a kingdom or settlements nearby, but others,Nomads, wander from settlement to settlement. }
